The difference between braided hose and corrugated hose

The difference between braided hose and corrugated pipe

1. Different component composition

Stainless steel braided hose: wire, inner tube, steel sleeve, core, gasket, nut

Corrugated pipe: hexagonal cap, pipe body, gasket, plastic sleeve

2. Different effects

Woven pipe: mainly serves as a connection between the angle valve at the inlet and the faucet of the basin, kitchen faucet, vertical bathtub faucet, water heater, central air conditioning, and toilet, forming a water supply channel or drainage pipe

Bellows: Used for the transmission of high-temperature liquids and gases. For example, the inlet pipe of a water heater, the delivery pipe of gas, and the inlet pipe of a faucet. For areas with poor water quality, corrugated pipes can be preferred as the connecting pipes for water heaters, which can last longer.

3. Different production methods and performance

Stainless steel braided hose: It is made of 6 strands of 304 stainless steel wire and has good flexibility and anti riot effect. However, compared to corrugated pipes, the diameter is smaller and the water flow rate is smaller.

Stainless steel corrugated pipe: The pipe body appears uneven, with only one outer pipe and no inner pipe. The pipe body is relatively hard, and special attention should be paid during installation. It is best to choose a vertical installation, and it is not allowed to bend multiple times at the same place to avoid water leakage and fracture.

4. Individual Advantages

The advantages of stainless steel corrugated pipes are corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, and high pressure resistance, suitable for heating pipelines. A large pipe diameter equals a large water flow rate.

The disadvantage of stainless steel corrugated pipes is that they must be installed perpendicular to the joint, which can easily lead to water leakage. Corrugated pipes are not easily bent multiple times at the same location, otherwise it will cause the wall of the corrugated pipe to break. Secondly, the price is expensive.

Advantages of stainless steel braided pipes: The internal connecting pipes and gaskets at the connecting parts are made of high-quality EPDM rubber. Non toxic, anti-aging, ozone resistant, corrosion resistant, cold resistant, high temperature resistant, high pressure resistant, excellent sealing performance. Secondly, the price is cheap.

The disadvantage of stainless steel braided pipes is that the process is complex and their high-temperature resistance is inferior to that of corrugated pipes.
