Classification of braided hoses
Braided pipes can be divided into three categories according to production process: low, medium, and high.
Low end braided pipes are made of finer diameter aluminum wire, iron nut, zinc alloy inner core, and inferior EPDM rubber inner pipe. This configuration of product has a certain price advantage, but it is prone to problems such as water leakage and aging. In addition, due to the use of low-end EPDM inner tube material, toxic substances (such as sulfides) will precipitate when passing through water.
The medium grade braided pipes are mainly made of 304 steel wire, high-quality EPDM material, and all copper accessories, with a general applicability period of more than 5 years. This type of braided tube is widely used in China, mainly produced in Ningbo, Zhejiang, Taizhou, and Quanzhou, Fujian. Middle grade braided pipes mainly follow the old national standard GB/T23448-2009, and have good physical properties. However, there are still hygiene issues such as precipitates, which cannot meet the development needs of the times.
High end braided pipes are made from 304 steel wire and all copper pipe components of mid range braided pipes, using sanitary inner pipes such as PEX-B, silicone, TPV, etc. Follow the new national standard GB/T23448-2019 to improve the hygiene performance of pipes while maintaining their physical properties. This high-end pipe is mainly used for export and needs to pass international certifications such as KTW to be shipped to countries such as Europe and America. The main domestic production areas are Jiangmen in Guangdong, Xiamen in Fujian, and so on.
